Tell me whether or not this would be possible: putting some sort of tracker on a pair of communications devices so that when they get within a certain distance of one another, a ping is sent to security.

We have a set of individuals who seem to be incapable of not trying to murder one another whenever they're in the same room. I'd like to know when they're in the same room.
