The only reason she was here - he assumed - was because she wanted to be. There was no effort to get him on her side, or to urge him to help pave the laws to make a company's prospects better. She didn't want to kill him, or marry him for the sake of being a pretty Senator's wife, smiling on the campaign trail. She hadn't been sent to him to give him bad press. None of that mattered here.
